Fall Protection (BC)

What is Fall Protection (BC)?

Stay safe while working at heights with our BC-compliant Fall Protection Theory course. Designed to meet provincial legislation, this online program equips workers with essential knowledge of fall hazards, safety regulations, and proper use of fall protection equipment. Through engaging lessons on inspections, donning and doffing harnesses, and calculating fall clearances, participants gain the theory and practical understanding needed to work confidently and safely on any elevated worksite.

Course Overview

The Fall Protection (BC) course delivers the full theory component required under provincial legislation for workplaces across British Columbia. The program introduces learners to fall protection principles, regulatory requirements, equipment components, and safe practices for working at heights. While this online training provides the necessary theoretical knowledge, a hands-on practical assessment is required to demonstrate competency in inspecting, donning, and doffing fall protection harnesses and related gear.

Upon completing the online portion, participants will receive instructions on how to register for their practical evaluation. Only after successfully completing both components will learners be issued an official fall protection certificate, as required by BC safety standards.

Working at heights introduces significant risks, and understanding how fall protection systems function is essential for preventing serious injuries. This course helps workers recognize fall hazards, understand equipment requirements, and follow proper safety procedures.
