Electrocution Hazards Part I Worksite Safety
What is Electrocution Hazards Part I Worksite Safety?
Electricity powers every job site but when handled improperly, it can also be one of the most dangerous workplace hazards. The Electrocution Hazards Part I: Worksite Safety course gives workers the knowledge they need to recognize, avoid, and control electrical risks before they cause harm. Through interactive lessons and real-world examples, learners explore OSHA regulations, safe equipment handling, grounding, and GFCI protection. This training helps participants build confidence in preventing electrical injuries and maintaining a safer, compliant work environment.
Course Overview
Electricity is a leading cause of workplace injuries and fatalities in the construction industry each year. The Electrocution Hazards Part I: Worksite Safety course provides essential information on how to recognize, prevent, and control electrical hazards at the job site.
Learners will understand how hundreds of deaths and injuries occur annually due to electrocution hazards, and how most of these incidents are preventable with proper awareness and safe work procedures. This course outlines the federal OSHA standards designed to protect workers, including 29 CFR 1926 Subparts C, I, and K. Participants will learn about power line safety, equipment operation near high-voltage lines, and proper grounding and GFCI use.
By the end of this course, learners will know how to identify electrical hazards, follow proper lockout/tagout procedures, and apply safety practices that reduce the risk of electrocution in any work environment.
This training focuses on building a strong foundation in electrical hazard awareness and regulatory compliance. Workers will learn how to apply OSHA standards, inspect equipment, and take proactive steps to prevent contact with live electrical components.
