IPAC Training: Basic Awareness
Though often invisible to the naked eye, infectious hazards can have a devastating impact on our health. Infectious hazards may exist in any type of workplace. It is everyone’s responsibility (e.g. employer, supervisor, and worker) to recognize and control these hazards with the same diligence as other workplace health and safety hazards.
This course is relevant for all workers, across all sectors in Ontario.

Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC): Basic Awareness Topics
This course will teach you:
- What Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) is and why it is important
- How infections are spread
- What steps you and others can take to prevent and control infections in the workplace

Completion times vary depending on the number of times the information is viewed prior to finishing the course. The average completion time is 30 minutes.

Knowledge Assessment
Testing is conducted in this online course to reinforce the information presented. You are provided three opportunities to achieve a passing mark of 80% or greater.
