They will learn about the two withdrawal systems, vapour and liquid, and identify their components to ensure safe
filling and handling.
Because propane use is strictly regulated in Canada, the course covers the CSA Code, TDG Act, WHMIS, and CEPA. These
standards explain how proper handling safeguards workers, communities, and the environment.
The program also guides learners through safe transport, secure storage, and routine cylinder inspections. A clear
step-by-step process for disconnecting and connecting propane cylinders is included, along with the correct use of
protective equipment. The course closes with essential emergency response actions to take if an incident occurs.
