It\u2019s hard not to feel that if greater emphasis was placed on safety at these work sites then the headlines would have read differently. Accordingly, we are dedicating this issue of the SafetyNet magazine to safety culture\u2013the enduring emphasis and value placed on safety by everyone at every organizational level. Our feature article (p.14) describes what a safety culture is, outlines its key benefits, explains the challenges faced when trying to create one, as well as provides tips and strategies for creating a culture of safety within your organization.
