Complacency is a killer. Yet in many workplaces, it\u2019s hiding in plain sight, disguised as experience. Some employees convince themselves that they\u2019re too smart, too skilled, or too seasoned to fall victim to a serious accident. It often looks like convenience: skipping goggles \u201cjust this once,\u201d unplugging a lockout device for a \u201cquick check,\u201d or assuming a near-miss means the risk wasn\u2019t real. And this subtle erosion of standards spreads, especially when it starts with the most experienced people on site.<\/p>\n

You Don\u2019t Get to Opt Out of Risk<\/h2>\n

No one is beyond reach. Accidents don\u2019t check your resume. From defective gear to unpredictable human error, risk is everywhere. It\u2019s not a question of if something will go wrong, it\u2019s whether your team is ready when it does.<\/p>\n

Creating a Culture That Rejects Complacency<\/h2>\n
