New ABCGA-Endorsed Ground Disturbance Supervisor Training Available on The SafetyNET
BIS Safety Software Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Global Training Centre and Danatec Educational Services Ltd.’s fully endorsed, jointly developed Ground Disturbance Supervisor Training course to all network partners on The SafetyNET.
July 4, 2017, Global Training Centre and Danatec Educational Services Ltd. received full Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA) endorsement for their Ground Disturbance Supervisor Training course. This makes them one of only two companies to have both their online and classroom courses endorsed to this new ABCGA standard.
Released in 2016 by the ABCGA, a committee of safety professionals dedicated to the prevention of damage to buried facilities, this new Ground Disturbance 201 standard broadens ground disturbance supervisor training requirements to include buried facilities such as oil and gas, water utilities, sewer management, and fibre optics.
The Global Training Centre and Danatec Educational Services Ltd. new Ground Disturbance Supervisor Training course includes animated scenarios, expert character guideposts, interactive learning exercises, competency quiz questions, a full glossary and toolbox of regulations, codes, guides, downloadable sample documents, and also a defensible final exam. The practical exercise in the final module takes participants through the process of building a ground disturbance checklist using their knowledge gained within the course.
