Electricity is a leading cause of workplace injuries and fatalities in the construction industry each year. The Electrocution Hazards Part I: Worksite Safety course provides essential information on how to recognize, prevent, and control electrical hazards at the job site.

Learners will understand how hundreds of deaths and injuries occur annually due to electrocution hazards, and how most of these incidents are preventable with proper awareness and safe work procedures. This course outlines the federal OSHA standards designed to protect workers, including 29 CFR 1926 Subparts C, I, and K. Participants will learn about power line safety, equipment operation near high-voltage lines, and proper grounding and GFCI use.

By the end of this course, learners will know how to identify electrical hazards, follow proper lockout/tagout procedures, and apply safety practices that reduce the risk of electrocution in any work environment.
