In todays digital world, it seems as if everything in our personal and professional lives involve some digital device or program. While this digital technology has a lot of benefits, it threatens your IT security. This online Cyber Awareness Training outlines how to stay safe while using digital devices.
This Cyber Awareness Training is composed of five chapters. These chapters include:

- Chapter 2: Account and Device Protection
- Chapter 3: Protecting Personal Information
- Chapter 4: Security Software and Solutions
- Chapter 5: IT Security Incidents
Upon completion, you will be presented with a final exam to test your knowledge.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Explain how to best separate personal and professional conduct, as well as the importance of doing so
- Recognize and safely deal with spam and malware attacks
- Create, manage, and maintain secure passwords for all your devices and accounts
- Explain and implement appropriate device security and work-from-home best practices
- Define and describe personal information
- Explain the basic principles of the Personal Information Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulations
- Explain and implement some basic best practices for protecting personal information
- Define and describe VPNs, antivirus software, and encryption, and explain how each can help keep your devices, accounts, and personal information safe
- Define and describe an IT security incident
- Identify and explain the basic responsibilities of yourself and your organization when it comes to responding to IT security incidents
This course was created using standards that will allow playback on most internet capable devices with standard web browsing capabilities including Apple’s iTouch, iPad, and iPhone, as well as most other smart phones and tablets including those with Android and Windows operating systems.
