CANADIAN WELDING RED SEAL SELF-ASSESSMENT ONLINE COURSE TOPICS
Welding Safety – This section of the exam assesses general safety in the welding trade as it relates to fumes, equipment, and consumables.
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) – This section of the exam assesses general knowledge relating to shielded metal arc welding, including polarity, electrode numbering, and equipment needs.
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) – This section of the exam assesses general knowledge of gas metal arc welding, including wire selection, gas selection, and equipment needs.
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) – This section of the exam assesses general knowledge of gas tungsten arc welding, including gases used, equipment needs, tungsten selection, and filler wire numbering and composition.
